Kohlrabi-carrot-potato mash from about 7th / 8th month

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 300 g potatoes (about half the kohlrabi)
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil (per 100 g porridge)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Baby food, vegetable puree

Peel and chop the kohlrabi, removing any brown or woody bits. Peel and chop the carrot and potatoes. Pour 200 ml of water into a large pot. Add the potatoes, kohlrabi, and carrot to the pot and bring to a boil (making sure the potatoes are at the bottom). After boiling, simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes (longer if needed), stirring occasionally to ensure everything is nice and soft. Puree everything with the water, removing any large chunks. Add the oil just before serving. This amount corresponds to approximately 9 Nuk freezer containers and 2 100-gram jars. The puree can, of course, be frozen. Tips: You can adapt the recipe depending on how well or poorly your little ones eat. My rule for one serving is: 100 grams of vegetables, so kohlrabi plus carrot to 50 grams of potatoes for one serving. You can, of course, replace the potatoes with sweet potatoes.
