Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 small kohlrabi
  • 4 slices of raclette cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Garlic granules
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel the kohlrabi and cut into slices no thicker than a finger. Boil in salted water until almost tender. Drain. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic. Place half a slice of cheese on a kohlrabi slice, cover with another kohlrabi slice, and press down lightly. Coat in flour, dip in egg, and bread. Fry in hot oil in a pan until golden brown on both sides. Serve with mashed potatoes.
