simple, quick and delicious

Peel the kohlrabi and slice it thinly (approx. 2 mm thick) using a mandoline grater. Arrange a layer of kohlrabi slices in a baking dish in the shape of a roof tile. Spread 2 tablespoons of cream over the slices, season with salt, pepper, and a little grated nutmeg, then top with some grated cheese. Next, add more kohlrabi slices, then cream, spices, cheese, and more. Finish with a layer of cheese. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan oven), cook the gratin in a covered baking dish on the middle shelf for at least 30 minutes, depending on how firm the kohlrabi is. Finally, remove the lid and bake the cheese until golden brown. Goes well with fish, meat, or simply with fried potatoes.
