a recipe from grandma

Boil the beef until tender, remove from the broth, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Simmer the finely chopped kohlrabi and sliced carrots in the broth for about 10-15 minutes. Knead the flour with the eggs, salt, and a little water until the dough rolls off the spoon, adding a little more flour if necessary. Using a teaspoon, drop the dough into the simmering soup. When the sparrows float to the surface, they’re cooked. Season to taste before serving, add the beef cubes, and sprinkle the finely chopped kohlrabi leaves or chopped parsley into the soup.
