Kohlrabi stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g kohlrabi
  • 2 m.-large carrot(s)
  • 2 m.-sized potatoes
  • 2 leaves of kohlrabi
  • 50 g celery
  • 1 stalk of lovage
  • 200 g bratwurst, coarse, fresh
  • 4 sausages (ham sausages or cooked sausages)
  • 2 tsp, heaped meat broth, granulated
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly Vegeta, optional

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

quick and easy

Bring about 1.2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. In the meantime, peel the vegetables and cut into small cubes. Finely slice the kohlrabi leaves and lovage. Remove the skins from the sausages and form the mixture into small meatballs. Once the water boils, add the stock cubes or granulated stock, followed by the remaining ingredients. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper (or Vegeta, if you like) – done! Tip: If you prefer a meatless dish, use vegetable stock and omit the sausages and meatballs.
