Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g beef (minced meat)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 700 ml water
  • 400 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp vinegar essence
  • 5 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Knead the minced meat with the diced onion, egg, spices, and breadcrumbs thoroughly, then form into 8 large balls. For the sauce, add 700ml of water to a saucepan and mix with the sour cream. Stir in the bay leaves, mustard seeds, and vinegar essence, bring to a boil, and season. Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Thicken the sauce, stir in the sugar, and serve. Serve with boiled potatoes.
