Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until almost stiff peaks, then add about 3 tablespoons of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Mix the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until thickened. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir into the egg yolks, then lightly fold in the beaten egg whites. Place the batter in a piping bag and pipe small sticks onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake on the middle rack for about 10 minutes. After baking, let it cool completely and store in a container. This makes enough for about 2 baking trays. Tip: If you don’t have a piping bag, use a freezer bag and cut off a corner.
