Laila's schnitzel cubes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel
  • 1 can mushrooms or fresh
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 500 ml sauce (gravy) ready-made package or leftover
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into small cubes, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, then coat in beaten egg and then breadcrumbs. Two tablespoons make this quick work, too! Finely chop the onion and bell pepper and fry them with the mushrooms in a pan with oil. Meanwhile, fry the schnitzel cubes at 180°C for about 4 minutes in the deep fryer. Once the vegetables are browned, add the gravy and bring to a boil. I then add the schnitzel cubes to the sauce for a few more minutes. It goes well with pasta.
