Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • some letcho or tomato sauce from the day before
  • 4 eggs
  • some butter
  • some salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg
  • n. B. herbs, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat the lecsó or tomato sauce in a saucepan. Whisk the eggs in a measuring cup and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Then fry the scrambled eggs in a pan. Toast the bread and spread with a little butter. Top each slice of bread with scrambled eggs and drizzle with the tomato sauce. If you like, you can sprinkle fresh herbs on top. This was once a delicious recipe for using up leftovers and always reminds us of our youth.
