- 160 g butter
- 320 g flour (type 405)
- 100 g sugar
- 1 egg(s), (size M)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 lemon(s), zest, untreated
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ vanilla pod(s)
- 1 egg yolk, for brushing
- Cream, for spreading
- 100 g granulated sugar, for decoration

Make a shortcrust pastry from all ingredients. Chill the dough for two hours. Knead the pastry until smooth. Roll out with a little flour to about 3 mm thick. Cut out stars and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the egg yolk and cream, then spread a thin layer over the stars. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake at 170°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
