Lemon Meringue Pie

The perfect lemon meringue pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Pie dough:

Lemon filling:

  • Approx. 1 1/2 glasses

Meringue blanket:

  • 4 Protein
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp Strength
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 – 200 degrees.
  2. You can bake the pie dough beforehand, then take it out of the mold, wrap it up and store it in a cool place. If everything is to be prepared in one day, please proceed as described in the pie dough recipe.
  3. For the meringue mixture, beat the egg white until stiff and stir in the icing sugar and starch.
  4. In the case of this recipe, place the pie base on a heat-resistant cake plate, coat it with the lemon curd cream, pour the meringue over it and put it in the oven until the top starts to rise and brown . In between, tear open the cover 1 x briefly with a spoon to create an unevenness.
  5. You always have to look something up during the baking process, so be something close by if possible. Depending on the nature of each oven.
