Lentil patties for young and old

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 tbsp, heaped lentils, red
  • 150 ml water
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 1 tangerine(s), peeled
  • 80 g oat flakes, fine
  • 3 sprigs of parsley
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • possibly salt
  • possibly onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Simple and vegetarian. Suitable as a toddler food because it is salt-free.

Boil the lentils in water for 10 minutes until soft. Steam the broccoli in a little water, then let it cool. Puree 2 tablespoons of oats, the broccoli, and the mandarin orange. Add the puree and the remaining oats to the lentils and mix everything together. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Then stir in the parsley. With moistened hands, form small patties and fry in olive oil until golden brown. This recipe is intended for small children; for adults, I like to add salt and onion.
