Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 cups flour
  • oil
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 1 cup soy sauce, Japanese (teriyaki sauce)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, Chinese
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 20 minutes

If serving in the evening, start preparing in the morning. Separate the wings at the joint, wash them, and pat them dry with kitchen paper. Coat them in flour and fry them in a pan with a little oil until golden brown. Layer them in a casserole dish. Make a sauce with the remaining ingredients and baste the wings repeatedly until the evening. Then roast them in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for about 30 minutes until crispy. Serve with rice and a green salad.
