Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 12 g ginger
  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tsp brown sugar
  • 7 tbsp mirin
  • 7 tbsp soy sauce
  • sesame oil
  • sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel and finely chop the ginger and garlic. Mix both with the sugar, mirin, and soy sauce until the sugar dissolves. Pat the chicken breast fillets dry and let them sit in the teriyaki-style sauce for at least 30 minutes. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allow it to drain slightly, and place it directly into a hot pan with sesame oil. Fry the fillets for eight minutes on each side. Then add the remaining sauce and let it thicken. Sprinkle the fillets with sesame seeds before serving.
