Light Garlic and Onion Sauce with Garlic Chips

Ingredients
 

  • 4 tbsp Yogurt 10% fat
  • 4 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 1 Pc. Asian garlic bulb
  • 0,5 Pc. Chopped onion
  • Freshly chopped chives
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Splash Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper

preparation

  • Peel and slice the Chinese garlic, peel and chop the onion. In a mortar, press / mix 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil with part of the onion and garlic. To let go.

Garlic chips

  • Mix the garlic slices with a 1/2 tbsp oil and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees with hot air for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

The dip

  • Put the onion-oil mixture in a bowl, add the remaining chopped onion and a few broken garlic chips (these will give the sauce its special taste later), some of the freshly chopped chives. Mix the whole thing well.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper and a dash of lemon juice.

Serving suggestion

  • Serve decorated with the rest of the fresh chives and the garlic chips.

  • The taste can be varied by choosing different oils (olive oil, macadamia oil, sesame oil, etc.).
  • Use low-fat yogurt and creme fraiche to save calories.
