Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • salt water
  • 1 pack of ham or fresh bacon, diced
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Leek with ham cubes and cream cheese as a side dish or light meal in between

Cook the trimmed leek in salted water until soft or firm to the bite (as desired). Drain and set aside. Brown the ham or bacon cubes in a pan, then add the leek. Season everything with pepper and parsley. Finally, add a spoonful of cream cheese mixed with milk and stir to combine (or just a little sour cream or crème fraîche). Delicious as a light snack or as a side dish.
