Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 tsp margarine (half-fat margarine)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml milk, low-fat
  • 200 ml vegetable broth (instant 1 tsp)
  • 3 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Melt the margarine in a saucepan, dust with flour, and deglaze with milk and broth while stirring. Simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally, to remove the flour flavor. Add the parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the sauce with asparagus, vegetables, potatoes, or fish. Tip: If desired, the sauce can be refined with other herbs, such as thyme, basil, or chives.
