Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g smoked salmon, sliced
- 2 tsp capers
- 2 tsp mustard (Dijon mustard)
- Salt and pepper, freshly ground
- 2 tbsp ricotta, creme fraiche or similar.
- Sugar
- Lime juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Finely chop the salmon (preferably mild smoked wild salmon) and capers, mix with mustard and ricotta. Season to taste with pepper, salt, sugar, and lime juice. Serve on bread or scoop out the dumplings and serve with marinated leaf salads. Tastes excellent on freshly toasted bread or crostini slices, on ciabatta, baguette, or, if more strongly seasoned, on brown bread. It’s perfect as a small amuse-bouche, as an appetizer, for a buffet, for brunch, or, with a longer serving and plenty of salad, as a small dinner with a fine white wine. It also tastes delicious marinated for a few hours or overnight, so it’s perfect for preparing ahead!
