Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g cream
  • 100 g cherry(s) and/or candied orange peel, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 g almond flakes
  • 100 g almonds, chopped
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 10 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • possibly chocolate, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

as soon as they are there, they are already gone

Simmer the cream, almonds, cherries, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and honey in a saucepan for a few minutes. Then stir in the flour and simmer for another minute. Using two spoons, place small dollops onto the baking sheet lined with baking paper, leaving plenty of space between them, as the dough will spread quite a bit. Bake at 175°C (fan oven) for about 7 minutes. I always dip the bottom of the Florentines in chocolate. This prevents them from drying out and makes them taste even better.
