Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 320 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • ½ small bottle(s) flavoring (lemon)
  • 190 g butter or margarine
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g jam (apricot jam)
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sift the flour onto a board. Make a well in the center and add the remaining ingredients one at a time. Starting in the center, quickly knead everything into a smooth dough and chill for 1/2 hour. Roll out the dough to the thickness of a knife’s back and cut out discs about 5 cm in diameter. Cut out three eyes from half of each disc (special cutters are available for this). Place the dough discs on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the center of the preheated oven. Bake at 180°C for about 12 minutes. Spread the unpierced dough discs with jam, sprinkle the others with powdered sugar, and then put the two pieces together.
