Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 320 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tbsp instant coffee powder (mocha powder)
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • some cinnamon
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g coconut oil
  • 7 tbsp rum
  • 7 tbsp milk
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 250 g desiccated coconut (coconut)

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Upper Austrian Christmas pastries

Combine the first seven dough ingredients (up to and including the cinnamon) in a bowl and mix well. Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 15-20 minutes. Once cooled, cut into strips. Now prepare a glaze. Heat the coconut oil until liquid. Then stir in 250g icing sugar, 7 tbsp rum, 8 tbsp milk, and 20g cocoa powder. Dip the cake strips into this liquid mixture and immediately roll them in desiccated coconut. Then place them on baking paper and let them set. This makes about 50 strips.
