Liver meatballs Berlin style

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 small apple
  • 250 g beef liver
  • e.g. butter
  • 600 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • n. B. Dill
  • n. B. Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onions and apple, and also finely dice the liver. Sauté the diced onions and apple in butter until translucent. Then add the diced liver and fry briefly, then let everything cool. Combine the mixture with the minced meat, egg, mustard, salt and pepper, breadcrumbs, and herbs, and form meatballs. Roll the meatballs in breadcrumbs, pressing them down lightly. Fry in batches in a pan with hot oil. Then return the meatballs to the hot oven at 180°C for another 10 minutes. Truly delicious, and the apple tastes great in them.
