Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,000 g minced beef
  • 3 onions, red
  • 3 eggs
  • 300 g quark
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 100 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

makes approx. 12 patties

Peel and finely chop the onions, and sauté in a pan until translucent. Let cool. In a measuring jug, combine the eggs, spices, tomato paste, breadcrumbs, and quark. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, cooled onions, and the seasoning mixture. Form the mixture into patties, approximately 150-160g each. Fry the patties in batches in a pan or on the grill until nicely browned on both sides. Tip: I vacuum-seal my patties and freeze them so they don’t fall apart during preparation.
