Low-calorie cordon bleu with hand cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 chicken breast fillet(s) or turkey breast fillet
  • 1 piece(s) of cheese (Handkäse) or Harzer Rolle
  • 1 slice(s) cooked ham, without fat edge
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the fillet and cut it open in half with a butterfly cut so that it can be folded open. Cut the cheese into thin slices. Place the slice of ham on top of the meat and spread the cheese over half of it. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and other seasonings if desired. Fold the fillet back together and secure with two toothpicks. Heat a non-stick pan and spread a drop of oil or olive oil with chili peppers in the pan. Then add the meat to the pan and sear on both sides. Reduce the heat to two-thirds and sear the meat until cooked through. Low-fat tzatziki (http://www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/265982085414/Tzatziki.html) and bell peppers go very well with this dish.
