Low-carb hazelnut brownies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g butter or margarine, soft
  • 150 g sugar substitute or liquid sweetener
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp, heaped cocoa powder
  • 1 shot of milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • some dark chocolate (at least 80%), coarsely chopped, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 160°C (fan). Mix softened butter or margarine with the sugar substitute. Gradually beat in the eggs. Mix the hazelnuts with salt, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Stir the dry ingredients well into the mixture. Add the milk until the batter reaches the desired consistency. Optionally, add the coarsely chopped dark chocolate. Line a 20 x 20 cm baking pan with baking paper and spread the batter evenly. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for approximately 20-25 minutes. Let cool and cut into cubes.
