Low-Carb Lahmacun

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 eggs
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 5 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 bulb(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 1 pack of light feta cheese
  • 1 bottle of dressing (French dressing)
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice mix (tomato seasoning)
  • Thyme
  • oregano
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Separate the eggs and mix the egg yolks with the cream cheese and seasonings as desired. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 150°C for about 20 minutes. During this time, mix the minced meat with the onions, oil, tomato paste, garlic, and seasonings as desired. Carefully spread the mixture over the dough and bake for another 20 minutes. Clean the vegetables, finely chop the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, cucumber, and feta cheese, and mix together. Carefully peel the dough from the baking paper (you can also roll it to prevent it from tearing) and place it on aluminum foil. Place the vegetable mixture in the center and pour the dressing over it. Roll up the dough and serve. Sometimes the dough is too thin and tears – but the aluminum foil will hold everything together in a pinch.
