Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 head of endive lettuce
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 large onion(s)
- 150 g lean bacon
- Milk
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Wash the endive thoroughly, cut into thin strips, and add a little water to remove the bitterness. Boil the boiled potatoes, mash them, and add warm milk until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add the rendered bacon and onions and fold in the endive.
