Macadamia Nut Balls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 200 g nougat
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 80 macadamia nuts
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

a very quick cookie recipe, makes about 80 cookies

Preheat oven to 180°C. Knead the butter, nougat, egg, flour, starch, cinnamon, and baking powder into a dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the dough into portions, roll into logs, and cut into 80 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, press a nut into it, and shape. Place the balls on the baking sheet and bake in the oven (middle rack) for 10-12 minutes. Mix the sugar and vanilla sugar in a small bowl and toss the hot balls in it. A tip: Since I can only get salted macadamia nuts, I use a damp kitchen towel to rub the salt off the nuts.
