Macaroni with meat sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot(s), finely chopped
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 125 g lean bacon
  • 125 g minced beef
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • pepper
  • Marjoram or oregano
  • Wine, red
  • 400 g pasta (macaroni, broken into pieces)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pasta Asciutta

Sauté finely chopped onions, garlic, carrots, meat, and bacon in oil and simmer. Add tomato paste and fill with water. Season to taste with sugar, salt, pepper, marjoram, and a little red wine. Finally, add the chopped tomatoes and simmer briefly. Break the macaroni into 5 cm pieces and cook according to the instructions. Mix into the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. This is a recipe from the beautiful Ticino region.
