Macaroni with Parma ham and mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 10 g porcini mushrooms, dried
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 slices of Parma ham
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 1 shot of white wine
  • 100 ml cream
  • Parsley
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 hours; Total time approx. 15 hours 30 minutes

Soak the porcini mushrooms in 100 ml of hot water for about 15 minutes. Then drain, reserving the soaking liquid. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Trim and chop the mushrooms. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the ham until crispy. Drain on kitchen paper. Fry the mushrooms with the onion and garlic in the fat for about five minutes and season with salt and pepper. Wash and halve the tomatoes. Chop the porcini mushrooms and add them to the mushrooms along with the soaking liquid, tomatoes, wine, and cream. Simmer everything for about 3-4 minutes. Chop the parsley and stir into the sauce; season again with salt and pepper. Break the ham into pieces and mix it with the pasta and the sauce.
