Maccaroni + Cheese

The perfect maccaroni + cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Pasta – croissant macaroni or gemmeli
  • 200 g Chester / Gouda grated
  • 100 g Sheep cheese Bulgarian
  • 800 ml Milk
  • 6 tbsp Butter
  • 6 tbsp Flour
  • 2 Chunky tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  1. Cook the pasta al dente while cooking.
  2. Sweat flour + milk (light) and pour the milk on top. Add 150 grams of grated chester or gouda, the sheep’s cheese, as well as the spices and tomatoes.
  3. Let this cheese sauce simmer for 6 minutes while stirring. season again with salt and spices.
  4. Put pasta and cheese sauce in a casserole, mix well + sprinkle with breadcrumbs and 50 g of chester. put the casserole in the oven for 30 minutes at 170 °. finished.
