Maccheroni al ferretto Jussi style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g macaroni (Maccheroni al ferretto)
  • 400 g tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 135 g feta cheese
  • 125 g cooked ham
  • 80 g black olives, marinated in herbs
  • 75 g whipped cream
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, thumb-sized
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the macaroni al ferretto in plenty of salted water for 10-12 minutes, according to the package instructions, until al dente. Cut the cooked ham into strips and fry in a pan with the finely chopped garlic. Next, add the tomatoes and bring the sauce to a simmer. Halve the olives and add them as well. Stir in the very finely chopped ginger and season the sauce with salt (just a little; the ham and feta need salt), pepper, paprika, and the Italian herbs. Finally, stir in the whipped cream and crumbled feta. Drain the macaroni and serve immediately with the sauce.
