Magic Dust Rub

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 120 ml sweet paprika powder
  • 60 ml salt
  • 60 ml brown sugar
  • 60 ml chili powder
  • 30 ml cumin powder
  • 2 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 60 ml garlic powder
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

A measuring cup is used for measuring. Combine all spices in a bowl and mix well. If you don’t have or can’t get mustard powder, you can also grind mustard seeds in a mortar or a spice grinder. Magic Dust is excellent for dry-marinating pulled pork or ribs, but also as a spice blend. If you mix the rub with beer, apple juice, cola, honey, or maple syrup, you can easily create a liquid spice blend that’s perfect for marinating grilled food. The finished rub can be used immediately or stored in an airtight container.
