In its pure form, the yogurt that forms the basis of the delicious ice cream contains less fat than cream ice cream and no conventional ice cream ingredients such as butter, eggs, cream, or milk. In addition, yogurt is a good source of calcium and contains healthy probiotic cultures such as lactic acid bacteria or indigestible carbohydrates such as fructose and lactose oligosaccharides, which regulate digestion and strengthen the immune system. Frozen yogurt – why make it yourself?

1. Frozen Yoghurt Recipe: Exotic Mango Cream
- 500 g yogurt of your choice
- 450g mango
- a squeeze of lemon
- Peel the mango, deseed and cut it into small pieces. Alternatively, you can also use frozen mango pieces.
- Puree the mango pieces with a blender or hand blender.
- Now fold in the yogurt and add a squeeze or two of lemon juice if you like.
- Now put the mango mass in a bowl and put it in the freezer for about two hours.
2. Homemade frozen yogurt stick: Refreshing eye-catcher
- 500g yogurt of your choice
- 100 grams of blueberries
- a tablespoon of agave syrup
- Sweeten the yogurt with the agave syrup and stir the yogurt to make it creamier.
- Wash the blueberries and gently mash three-quarters of the berries with a fork.
- Now fill an ice cream mold (alternatively, you can also use empty yogurt cups) alternately with the yogurt and the berry puree and press a few whole blueberries into the mixture.
- Insert small wooden sticks into the filled ice cream molds (teaspoons can be used as an alternative) and place them in the freezer for at least five hours.
3. Snacking Frozen Yogurt Recipe: Fruity Froyo Pops
- 500 g yogurt of your choice
- 300 grams of strawberries
- 300 grams of blackberries
- 50g chopped almonds
- two tablespoons of honey
- two ice cube trays

- Now fold in the yogurt and almonds and stir. Add the honey to sweeten.
- Now fill the ice cube trays with the creamy mass and put them in the freezer for about two hours.
Make frozen yogurt yourself – what should be considered?
If you put the creamy mass in the freezer to cool down, take it out every half hour and stir vigorously. This prevents the ice crystals from forming too large and the yogurt stays nice and creamy even when frozen.
