Matcha Latte is an absolute trend drink and is very easy to make yourself. In this article, we will tell you how you can make the coffee substitute at home.

You need these ingredients

You only need a few ingredients to make Matcha Latte. That’s why you can easily make the trendy drink yourself.

  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon matcha powder – more powder makes the drink tart.
  • Milk or optionally milk substitutes such as almond, soy, or hazelnut milk if you want to make vegan Matcha Latte.
  • Water and possibly sweeteners such as honey or agave syrup.

So you can make the coffee substitute yourself

The preparation succeeds in just a few steps:

  • Boil the water and let it cool down a bit.
  • Place the matcha powder in a jar and pour the hot water over it until the jar is about a third full.
  • Now use a whisk, milk frother, or a traditional bamboo whisk, for example, to mix the powder. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Heat the milk or milk substitute, froth it up, and pour it over the Matcha tea – done. Depending on your taste, you can now add sweeteners and then enjoy your Matcha Latte.
