The walnut tincture is used both externally and internally for a wide variety of ailments.

  • The list of supposed healing powers for a wide variety of ailments is very long. The walnut tincture is used for blood and liver cleansing as well as for loss of appetite and foot sweat, gingivitis, stomach problems, indigestion, and acne. However, you should only use the home remedy when necessary and in a very controlled manner, otherwise, the walnut tincture can also be harmful to your health.
  • For the tincture, you only need green walnuts and high-proof schnapps, such as Korn. The alcohol content must be at least 40 percent. You can also add a few walnut leaves to the tincture.
  • Roughly chop the walnuts before placing them in a container such as a bottle or a mason jar.
  • There are about 25 walnuts and 10 to 20 crushed walnut leaves per liter of grain. It is important that everything is well covered with alcohol.
  • Close the container tightly and place the jar in a warm place, such as in the sun. Shake the jar containing the walnut tincture well once a day.
  • After four weeks, the walnut tincture is ready and you can strain it.
  • Tip: If the worm has spread in your wood, simply try to drive it away with the walnut tincture.
