Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 Oranges
  • 80 g Brown raw cane sugar
  • 200 ml Oil
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 0,5 Tartar baking powder
  • Orange jam

Instructions

  • Wash oranges thoroughly, "rub off" the peel. Squeeze out the juice. You need 200 ml. Separate the eggs, beat the egg white until stiff. Mix the flour, almonds and baking powder.
  • Beat the sugar with the egg yolks to a creamy mass. Now slowly add the oil while stirring, then alternate the flour mixture, zest and juice. Stir in half of the egg whites, then carefully fold in the rest.
  • Put the dough in a greased springform pan or silicone mold. I used it as a small cake for the birthday candles, so I only put it in a small silicone mold (16 cm), and filled the rest in greased glasses sprinkled with semolina. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
  • Let cool down well. Cut the cake crosswise once and brush the lower part with orange jam. Put the top part on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar or sprinkle with icing (powdered sugar + orange juice).
  • The cake will be totally juicy and delicious.
