Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 30 g dark chocolate coating
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • ½ pinch(s) of salt
  • 110 g butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), the pulp
  • 190 g flour
  • 1 shot of Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours

for coffee/tea or just for snacking, makes about 40 pieces

Melt the chocolate coating in a water bath. Knead the remaining ingredients into a shortcrust pastry. Divide the dough in half and work the melted chocolate into one half. Wrap each dough separately in foil and refrigerate. Knead the dough until smooth and form equal-length rolls. Intertwine the rolls to create a marbled roll about 3 cm thick. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut slices of about 5 mm. Place these on baking paper and bake at 160°C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
