Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • ½ tsp, leveled baking soda
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 210 g milk
  • 80 g sugar
  • 90 g margarine (liquid margarine)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 20 g caster sugar
  • 10 g sugar
  • 15 g honey
  • 20 g milk
  • 15 g drink powder, e.g. B. Kaba vanilla
  • 20 g milk
  • 2 tbsp, heaped drink powder, e.g. Kaba Schoko
  • 35 g chocolate, 50 – 70 % cocoa content, melted
  • 1 tsp, heaped instant coffee powder

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

The recipe for the caramel is actually one for cream caramel candies. To make this, heat everything in a small pan over medium-low heat. At lukewarm temperature, the mixture should be only slightly runny (i.e., viscous). Then quickly prepare the basic batter, in this order: flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, milk, liquid margarine, the homemade caramel, egg, and sugar. Now divide the batter. Add the vanilla powder to one-third of the light batter. Mix the milk, cocoa powder, chocolate, and coffee powder into the remaining batter. Divide the batter among 12 muffin cups and marble with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15-20 minutes (depending on the oven).
