Marinated green-shell mussels

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 10 mussels (green-shell mussels)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red, or half if it is very large
  • 1 small onion(s), white
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, good
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, light
  • salt and pepper
  • some olives, black
  • n. B. basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

as tapas or starter

Remove the mussel meat from the shell. It’s easier to eat this way. Finely chop the bell pepper and onion and place it in a bowl. Add salt and pepper, balsamic vinegar, and oil, and mix well. Arrange the mussels in their shells on a large plate and spread the mixture over the meat. Add the olives and let the mussels marinate for about an hour. This appetizer is easy to prepare and is ideal for a tapas or appetizer buffet.
