Marinated pork neck steaks

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork neck steaks
  • 1 bunch garlic chives, alternatively wild garlic
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • e.g. oregano
  • e.g. rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 tbsp smoked paprika powder
  • possibly curry powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

Combine all the marinade ingredients in a blender and transfer to a plastic bag. The mixture should be mushy. Add the steaks, seal the bag with a clip or seal, and knead the ingredients thoroughly. Then refrigerate the steaks overnight. The smoked paprika is essential; it gives the marinade its proper flavor. You can also use olive oil for marinating. However, I prefer an oil that can be heated to higher temperatures. Grill or fry the steaks the next day.
