Marinated turkey schnitzel with basil

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 thin turkey cutlets
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil, neutral
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 8 tbsp olive oil
  • 125 ml orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed2
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pot of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 58 minutes

Drizzle the schnitzel with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Fry in hot oil for 3 minutes on each side. Remove and let cool. Mix a marinade from the vinegar, orange juice, oil, salt, and pepper. Tear the basil into pieces and mix in. Thinly slice the onions. Place the meat in a dish and cover with the onion rings. Pour the marinade over it and marinate in the refrigerator for 45 minutes. Serve with baguette.
