Marzipan cakes

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 12 drops of orange flavor
  • 50 g almonds, ground
  • 80 g chopped pistachios
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 3 tbsp Amaretto
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 11 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 11 minutes

Cream the softened butter, powdered sugar, and finely diced marzipan until creamy. Stir in the flour, cornstarch, orange flavoring, and ground almonds. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten with the heel of your hand. Bake in a preheated oven at 155 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 8 minutes, then let the ducats cool slightly. Knead the chopped pistachios with the marzipan and 3 tablespoons of Amaretto with your hands. Roll out between sheets of cling film and cut out to the size of the cookies. Place a slice of pistachio and marzipan between each cookie and press together. Melt the chocolate coating in the microwave at 600 watts for about 3 minutes. Place in a small freezer bag, cut off the tip, and cover the ducats with chocolate strips. Let the chocolate cool and then enjoy.
