  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g almond flakes
  • Dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 32 minutes

makes about 40 pieces

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Combine the marzipan, lemon juice, and egg white in a bowl, sift over the powdered sugar, and knead. Place the flaked almonds in another bowl and lightly crush them. Form croissants with your hands and roll them in the almonds. The dough will be a bit sticky, so keep sifting almonds with your hands. Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake on the second rack from the bottom for 10-12 minutes. Once the croissants have cooled, cover half of them with chocolate coating.
