Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 egg whites
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 80 g breadcrumbs (rusk crumbs)
- 400 g marzipan
- 1 pack of wafers (40 mm)
- 1 pack of chocolate coating
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Protein utilization
First, beat the three egg whites until stiff. Then, add the powdered sugar, salt, and rusk crumbs. Finally, add the marzipan and mix thoroughly again. Spread the wafers on a baking sheet (I always use a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in case anything spills). Form the mixture into small balls and place them on the wafers (this works best with wet hands). Bake the marzipan macaroons at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes on the middle rack of the oven. Once cooled, cover the macaroons with chocolate coating.
