delicious, easy, quick and ideal for using up leftover mashed potatoes

The mashed potatoes need to be cold, so leftovers from the day before work well. Finely chop the onion, garlic, eggs, mustard, and spices in a blender or with a hand blender. Mix everything well with the ground beef and mashed potatoes, then knead thoroughly with your hands. Wet your hands and form small sausages from the ground beef, taking about 1 heaped tablespoon of ground beef in the palm of your hand and shaping them. Then coat the sausages in the breadcrumbs. Fry them either directly in the deep fryer or in a pan with plenty of oil until golden brown. Perfect for parties, but also as a delicious meatball alternative.
