Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g mashed potatoes, from the previous day
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch(s) paprika powder
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • some flour
  • some breadcrumbs
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Vegetarian

Mix the mashed potatoes from the previous day with nutmeg and paprika. Lightly flour your hands and form the mashed potatoes into small, not too thin schnitzels. Coat first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs. Lightly press the coating into the mashed potatoes. Heat clarified butter or oil in a pan and fry the mashed potato schnitzels until golden brown.
