Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g floury potatoes
- 50 g bacon, streaky
- 1 tbsp butter
- 100 ml milk, hot
- some salt
- some nutmeg, freshly grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Peel and wash the potatoes and boil them in salted water for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the bacon into 1 cm wide strips and fry them in a pan without fat until light brown. Set aside. Drain the potatoes and let them steam well in the hot pan. Add the butter and milk and roughly mash everything with a potato masher. Season with salt and nutmeg. Serve with the bacon. Serve with eggs in rocket and mustard sauce.
