Potato and bacon mash

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 onion(s), sliced ​​into rings
  • 1 tbsp, leveled flour
  • 100 g bacon or thin breakfast bacon
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying
  • Salt
  • nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Boil the potato cubes in salted water for 20 minutes. Coat the onion rings in flour. Fry the bacon in a nonstick pan without fat, remove from the pan, and place on kitchen paper. Add the oil to the pan and heat it in the bacon fat. Fry the onion until crispy. Heat the milk with 1 tablespoon of butter. Drain the potatoes, add the milk mixture, and mash everything thoroughly. Season with salt and nutmeg. Spoon the bacon and onion rings over the mashed potatoes and garnish with chives.
