Mashed Sweet Potatoes
The perfect mashed sweet potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Sweet potatoes
- 50 ml Milk
- 1 Garlic clove pressed
- 1 Thin slice of ginger grated
- 1 tsp Butter
- Salt
- Pepper from the grinder
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- Cinammon
- 1 pinch Piment la Vera picante, – smoked paprika powder
- 1 bigger pinch Chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp Freshly chopped basil leaves
- Peel, wash, dice sweet potatoes and cook in salted water until soft. Pour off and allow to evaporate. Warm up the milk. Mash the sweet potatoes into small pieces with a potato masher, season with salt and pepper. Add the warmed milk (take more or less depending on the consistency you want), butter, garlic, ginger, the remaining spices and the basil. Mix everything well and season to taste. Season again to taste.
